Japanese advanced materials company Advance Composite has completed a Series B financing round through a third-party share allotment, securing new investment from Kyoto University Innovation Capital (KYOTO-iCAP No. 3 Fund) to accelerate the commercialization of its proprietary metal matrix composite (MMC) technology.
The company did not disclose the amount raised but said the funding will support research partnerships, technology development and expansion into high-growth industries, including semiconductors and artificial intelligence.

Advance Composite specializes in developing and manufacturing metal matrix composites (MMCs) using its proprietary molten metal forging method.
The technology enables molten metal to infiltrate reinforcing materials such as graphite and ceramics under high pressure, producing composite materials designed to combine high thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion and lightweight characteristics.
According to the company, the investment will be used to:

Advance Composite’s New ACM-H1/H2 product series is designed for thermal management applications requiring both lightweight construction and efficient heat dissipation.

- Thermal conductivity exceeding 460 W/m·K
- Thermal expansion coefficient of approximately 5 ppm/K
- Density of approximately 2.3 g/cm³
