Cirrus Aircraft has received type certificate approval from Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) for its G3 Vision Jet, clearing the composites-intensive single-engine personal jet for delivery and operation in Brazil.

The certification expands the market for the latest generation of the Vision Jet and brings its redesigned cabin, updated avionics and safety technologies to Brazilian owners and operators.

The G3 represents the latest development of the Vision Jet platform, incorporating more than 30 refinements across the cabin, flight deck and aircraft systems.

Composite Construction Remains Central to Vision Jet

The Vision Jet is notable within personal aviation for its extensive use of composite materials.

Rather than moving away from that architecture with the third generation, Cirrus has continued developing the aircraft around its established composites-intensive structure while introducing changes to passenger accommodation, avionics and operating capability.

G3 Cabin Expands to Seven Occupants

One of the most visible changes is inside the aircraft.

Cirrus has redesigned the cabin to accommodate seven people — six adults and one child.

A redesigned third-row bench provides additional seating flexibility, while integrated tray tables, personal-device mounting locations and revised cabin finishes are intended to improve comfort and usability.

New Avionics Target Pilot Workload

The flight deck has also received several technology upgrades.

The G3 introduces ATC Datalink, enabling text-based communications with air traffic control, along with Automatic Database Updates through Cirrus IQ PRO Advanced.

Other additions include Alerts-Linked Checklists, Taxiway Routing and 3D SafeTaxi, which provide additional information during ground and flight operations.

The aircraft uses Cirrus’ Perspective Touch+ avionics suite and also receives Cirrus Spectra Wingtips and updated exterior lighting.

CAPS and Emergency Autoland Remain Part of Safety Package

Cirrus has retained two of the Vision Jet’s defining safety technologies.

The Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) provides a whole-aircraft parachute system, while Safe Return Emergency Autoland is designed to automatically land the aircraft during an emergency when activated.

These technologies remain integrated with the broader avionics and safety architecture of the G3.

Rather than concentrating the third-generation update on a single performance metric, Cirrus has combined changes to passenger capacity, cockpit systems, cabin design and operational functionality.

Brazil Opens Another Market for G3 Vision Jet

ANAC type certification removes an important regulatory barrier for the aircraft in Brazil and enables Cirrus to begin delivering the latest Vision Jet generation to customers in the country.

For the composites industry, the certification also extends the operational footprint of a production aircraft built extensively around composite structures.
