The SAMPE China 2026 Conference & Exhibition has become a platform for advancing sustainable composites, with two major cooperation agreements signed to accelerate the development and commercialization of green composite materials for aerospace, transportation and industrial applications.

The agreements, announced by ACC (Beijing) Science and Technology Co. Ltd. and AVIC Advanced Composite Technology Center (AVIC ACCTECH), focus on natural fiber composites, low-carbon resin technologies and industrial collaboration across China and Europe.

International Alliance Targets Natural Fiber Composite Industrialization

During the exhibition, five organizations signed a framework agreement to establish the International Green Composite Industrial Innovation Platform, bringing together expertise in materials research, investment and manufacturing.

The participating organizations include:

The platform will leverage Jiangxi Province’s abundant ramie, bamboo, and other natural fiber resources to accelerate the industrialization of bio-based composite materials.

The partners plan to develop a complete industrial ecosystem covering:

  • Natural fiber cultivation
  • Material research and development
  • Pilot-scale production
  • Commercial manufacturing
  • End-use applications
  • International market expansion

The initiative supports broader sustainability goals, including China’s promotion of “bamboo replacing plastic” and global efforts to reduce carbon emissions through renewable composite materials.

AVIC ACCTECH Partners with Michelin on Green Resin Technologies

Alongside the natural fiber initiative, AVIC ACCTECH signed a cooperation statement with Michelin (Shanghai) Polymers Co. Ltd.

The collaboration combines AVIC’s expertise in composite process development and engineering verification with Michelin’s capabilities in developing:

  • Low-formaldehyde resin systems
  • Low-carbon composite materials
  • Flame-retardant resin technologies

The companies will jointly conduct technical exchanges, research and material evaluations to accelerate the industrial deployment of high-performance green composites for aerospace and transportation applications.
