Toray Advanced Materials has completed the expansion of its second meta-aramid fiber production line at its Gumi manufacturing complex, increasing total annual production capacity to 5,400 metric tons.
The investment reflects growing global demand for heat-resistant and electrically insulating materials used in power infrastructure, data centers, defense systems and next-generation mobility applications.
New Production Line Adds 3,000 Tons Capacity
The company announced that it recently held a completion ceremony for the new production line at its Gumi Plant No. 1 in North Gyeongsang Province.
The newly commissioned facility adds:
- 3,000 metric tons of annual production capacity

Combined with its existing production line, Toray Advanced Materials now has a total annual meta-aramid fiber production capacity of 5,400 metric tons.
Approximately 120 government officials, industry representatives and company executives attended the inauguration ceremony.
